Kofta Kebab in the Oven with Avocado Sauce

Ingredients
- 500g ground beef or lamb
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- For the Avocado Sauce:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tsp lime juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Form the mixture into oval-shaped kebabs and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the kebabs with olive oil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and lightly browned.
Preparing the Avocado Sauce
- While the kebabs are baking, prepare the avocado sauce. In a mixing bowl, mash the avocados using a fork until smooth.
- Add lime juice, salt, Greek yogurt, and minced garlic to the mashed avocados. Mix until well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
