- 2 cups fresh raspberries
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a blender, combine raspberries and strawberries with 1/2 cup of sugar. Blend until smooth.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, remaining sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir in the berry puree until well combined.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours to firm up.
