Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until the mixture turns pale and thick.
- Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, being cautious not to deflate the cream.
- Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- Layer the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of serving cups, followed by a layer of the mascarpone cream mixture.
- Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with the mascarpone cream on top.
- Refrigerate the cups for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder for an elegant finish.
