Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of honey
- 1 tablespoon of oil (for frying)
- Optional: Sliced almonds or pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Add warm water gradually and knead until you form a soft dough. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a disc.
- Fry each disc in the pan until they turn golden brown on both sides. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the fried discs from the pan and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- In a serving dish, layer the fried discs, drizzling heavy cream and honey between each layer.
- Garnish with sliced almonds or pistachios if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
