Chinese-style Orange Chicken

Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Dredge the marinated chicken pieces in flour and fry in the hot oil until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In another pan, combine orange juice, sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Simmer over medium heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan with the orange sauce, tossing to coat the chicken evenly.
- Serve the orange chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy it with steamed rice!
