Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 3/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk. Stir gently until just combined.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds until the dough holds together. Be careful not to over-knead.
- Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the biscuits are lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
