- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 250 grams of phyllo pastry
- 150 grams of melted butter
- 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.

- Remove the skillet from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

- On a clean working surface, lay out the phyllo pastry. Brush a layer with melted butter and place another layer on top. Repeat this process for about 5-6 layers.
- Spread a portion of the meat mixture along the edge of the pastry. Roll tightly, creating a log shape, and place it seam side down in a greased baking dish.
- Repeat the process with the remaining pastry and filling.
- If using, beat the egg and brush it over the rolled pastries for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
